Why Should I buy Distilled Water from a Supplier?

Distilled water is used in a variety of applications and in a number of industrial and laboratory environments for cleaning, rinsing and testing. This multi-purpose water is also commonly used in ironing, automotive batteries as well as laser cutting. However, it can be quite difficult finding a distilled water supplier.

Recap: How It’s Made

Distilled water is made from the distillates of evaporated water that form through the process of distillation. This process removes almost all the impurities that contaminate general tap water. The water at the end result of the process is a clear, colourless liquid with a neutral PH and low conductivity. Distilled water is regarded as the purest form of H2O.

The process of creating distilled water is a very slow and a still is needed for production to take place.

Distilling Your Own Water

There are many processes of distilling your own water including distilling it with a pot and a glass bowl or using a home water distiller. Using these methods is a great way to create a small amount of distilled water for use at home but can be terribly time-consuming and tedious.

Another issue with these methods is that the process is not 100% full proof and are not built to produce high quality distilled water.

Distillers also need to have their filters changed about every 6 to 12 months and need to be periodically drained to get rid of residue left over from the boiling process. Distillers can have significant scale build-up and need to be cleaned regularly.
