The Quality of Our Distilled Water
If you are looking for quality distilled water products, you have come to the right place. Unlike other traditional retail channels in the UK we ensure that the purity of our water is completely up to standard.
Distilled water is purified water that has gone through a process called distillation. It has a low-level electrical conductivity of around 10 µS/cm and contains less than 10 mg/L total dissolved solids. Our distilled water is guaranteed to have a purity that cannot be found in tap water.
Distillation Process
Distillation involves the boiling of water until there is a build-up of steam. The stream is then condensed into a clean container which results in most solid contaminants being left behind. The end result now contains little to no solid impurities and can be used as distilled water.
We produce and bottle our own distilled water at our bottling plant. Two industrial distillation machines produce the purified water which is then bottled onsite. From here we dispatch from our warehouse and deliver to our customers across the UK.
To ensure that our water meets all quality standards, we send it away for testing by an independent company.. Meaning that we have reports that are available to you, our valued customer, which showcases the exact breakdown of our distilled water.
A Typical Analysis
For those of you who are curious about the general properties of distilled water, we have listed them below:
- Conductivity < 5.0μS/cm (Taken at time of manufacturing)
- H2O M.W. 18.01
- pH 5-8
- Chloride (as Cl) < 5.0ppm
- Nitrate < 0.2ppm
- Nitrite < 0.003ppm
- Sulphate < 5.0ppm
- Ammonia (as N) < 0.01ppm
It is important to note that our distilled water is NOT certified for human consumption. Conductivity that is measured at the time of manufacture will increase over time due to CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) absorption.
