4. In subzero surroundings (-30 degrees celcius), when a pot of boiling water is poured out into the air, it will instantly turn to snow and blow away. This is caused by the extreme temperature difference. The cold air is so dense that there is no room left to carry water vapor – let alone hot water vapor.
