Buy Distilled Water in Bulk and Save

Ever wondered how you should correctly store your distilled water after you’ve purchased it? Being a distilled water supplier, we’ve got a couple tips about the correct storage practices for your distilled water containers.

Distilled water, goes through many processes to ensure that it is entirely purified. It is derived from the process of distillation which ensures that the water, after going through this intricate process, is free from contaminants. Due to its unique properties, distilled water requires special preparation and attention.

Distilled water is able to easily combine with other substances causing the distilled water to become contaminated. To avoid this from happening and to ensure that the distilled water is kept pure, you need to store it correctly and properly.

We recommend that you store it in a glass container. Plastic containers can cause the distilled water to become contaminated as it will leach the chemicals from the plastic. Glass has been proven to be the best option as it will have minimum effect on the water over time. Keeping the glass in the dark will avoid algal growth. Best of all, when distilled water is kept in a glass container, it will be able to last a long time.

If distilled water is not sealed correctly, it can easily absorb carbon dioxide. Make sure after every use, you screw the lid of the container back on as tightly as possible.

Keep your distilled water container out of direct sunlight. If possible try keep it in a dark room, where sunlight will not be able to touch it at all.

There you have it, just a few tips on storing your distilled water and making sure that it lasts longer. If you would like to purchase distilled water from The Distilled Water Company, please do not hesitate to call us on 0330 123 3309 or email us at [email protected].
