Distilled water is not like ordinary water, so it requires special care. In order to derive this water, first you have to turn the regular water into vapour. This is done so you can get rid of all the impurities in it. Then the vapour is condensed and turned back into liquid form, but this time it is pure. Having distilled the water, it is now free of all minerals and nitrates. But it is now aggressive. This means that the water is de-mineralized and wants to go back to its original form and looks for any kind of substances to combine with. These substances can be found anywhere, and mostly in the container where you store the water. If you want to keep it pure, you have to know where to store it. There isn’t a container that is made of material that will not leak out when in contact with water after distillation. But glass proves to be the safest and with the minimal effect on it. If you receive your water in plastic containers and want to store it for long periods of time, we recommend you transfer it into glass containers.
Distilled water is special and you have to maintain the best storage conditions for it to last longer in its pure state.
